The Wichterman residence is a modern mountain home whose design melds modern sensibilities with the early character and charm of the Town of Pine, the home’s location.
Elements of alpine design are found throughout the home, including large timbers often seen in the areas timber frame barns, as well as vertical board and batten siding, consistent with traditional barn architecture.
The building’s form includes many gables that present an uplifting effect. While the home occupies a modest foot print of 2,500 SF, it lives large, with three bedrooms, a bunk room, and generously-sized social spaces. Many floor to ceiling glass walls provide expansive views to the Tonto National Forest beyond.
